One time Communards front man Jimmy Somerville isn't naturally bald. He had to start removing his body hair in 1985 when his body started growing brambles instead. Indeed, by 1988 his annual bramble growth could fill an average sized industrial skip.
Many an ex lover was heard to complain of awful chafing after love making and Somerville's big hit, Don't Leave Me This Way, is said to be about a former lover who ran off with his only pair of garden secateurs.
